Local donations can be taken to St. Michael Parish on Bright Road in Findlay to the attention of Deacon Armando Gonzales.
On June 5, the Department of Homeland Security and Border Patrol arrested 114 people working at two locations in the garden center in the cities of Perkins and Castalia. Most of these people are members of St. Paul's Parish in Norwalk, and San Francisco Javier in Willard, OH.
The immediate needs of detainees are to contact family members by phone and buy personal care items such as toothpaste, toilet paper, etc. Family members are not allowed to provide such items. These families will also need money to pay the bail of their wife or husband.
If you wish to make a monetary donation at this time, checks may be made payable to St. Paul Parish, with "Immigration Outreach" on the note line. Checks can be left in the office of the parish, placed in the collection basket, or you can send them to the following address 91 E Main St. Norwalk, OH 44857. Donations can also be made online at https://stpaulchurch. weshareonline.org/or through the parish website.
If you have any questions you can contact me at 419.214.4887. In advance I thank you for all your help.
God bless you.
